Perhaps not all children know that by visiting the Archaeological Museum in Florence we can suddenly find ourselves in ancient Egypt! Extraordinary finds invite us to take a journey through time and space in that distant land made fertile by the Nile river which every year, at the summer solstice, flooded the fields making them fertile with its precious silt.

The Nile was considered a god, as indeed was the Sun whose journey through the sky was observed with veneration, just as the stars were observed at night. How many symbols then there are to discover together and how many geometric shapes, expressions of the desire to bring back to life the order and harmony of the universe! So an exciting journey full of discoveries to listen to what the ancient Egyptians can still tell us.

At the end of the visit, all children can try to color a drawing related to the magical world of ancient Egypt.
